The Manjeri Co-op Urban Bank was ed by Kozhikode Co-operative Deputy Registrar (Order No.F Dis G 1063/37) on 02-11-1937. In 1964 Bank amended its bye-law and changed the name as ‘Manjeri Service Co-operative Bank, but the Bank again amended as ‘Manjeri Cooperative Urban Bank Ltd’ during 1972.

Now the Manjeri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd is one of the leading Urban Co-op Bank in Kerala. It was ed and functioning with ed Office, Court Road, Manjeri, PIN – 676 121. The Bank is head quartered at Manjeri, a business city in Malappuram District. 1977

Designed the first logo for Bank. (25-04-1977) Obtained hip under the Mutual Arrangement Scheme, Kerala (MASK) (04-06-1977) Become direct member in Manjeri Local Clearing House (11-07-1977). MCUB is the first Urban Bank in Kerala which placed as Direct Member of Local clearing house Opened Evening Branch at Manjeri (14-10-1977). MCUB is the first Bank in Malappuram District which introduced Evening Branch.

1982

Bank becomes the Class 1 Urban Co-operative Bank. (25-08-1982)

1984

Opened Ladies Branch at Manjeri (04-09-1984). MCUB is the first Bank in Malappuram District which introduced Ladies Branch.

1985

Obtained Banking License from RBI. MCUB is the first Urban Bank in Malappuram District which obtained Banking License from RBI.

1986

Opened 4th Branch at Valluvambram. (03-01-1986)

1987

Celebrated the Golden Jubilee year of the Bank.

1988

Opened 5th Branch at Payyanad.

1991

Inaugurated the existing Head Office Building at its own place.

1993

Opened 6th Branch at Kondotty. (14-08-1993).

1994

Bank become the Special Grade Urban Bank (01-04-1994)

1995

Become member under All India Mutual Arrangement Scheme (AIMAS) (11-02-1995) Opened 7th Branch at Pulikkal (30-05-1995) Opened 8th Branch at Edavannappara(27-09-1995)

1996

Opened 9th Branch at Kizhisseri (05-01-1996) Opened 10th Branch at Areacode(01-06-1996)

Tied up with Centurian Bank and started to issue demand drafts, cheque collection among all over in India.

Bank achieved the total business of 150 crore.

Become winner of K.R. Ilankath Smaraka Sahakarana Jyothi Award.

Bank started the one year lasting Sapthathi Celebration Become winner of Sahakarana Mahathwapoorna Award & Frontiers in Co-operative Banking
