Reading : The definition of reading: According to Grabe & Stoller (2002) ”Reading is the ability to draw meaning from the printed page and interpret this information appropriately”(p.3) .
The deinition of reading comprehension: According to Snow & Chair (2002), “Reading comprehension is the process of simultaneously extracting and constructing meaning through interaction and involvement with written language”(p.11).
Teaching reading according to Jennings, Caldwell, & Lerner (2010) Mentions: Interest students in the materials before they begin. Remaind the students to be aware of their own comprehension. Assesing Reading: Instruments post-Test & Pre-test using Multiplechoice. Classroom research using matching techniques, dichotomous items (T / F),Short answer,and Summary (Alderson (2000), Hughes (2003), andWeir and Milanovic (2003),p. 359).

Eclectic approach Band & Dykstrain Alexander (1979) stated, “Eclectic Approach is the combining the best elements of several programs that be selected to meet the goals of the instructional situation and the needs of the learner. (Burhanuddin , 2012, p.102).

• The first research was conducted by Imas Yulianti entittled “The Effect of PQ4R Strategy on The Eighth Grade Student’s Reading Comprehension at MTS Al-Barokah Pasir Jaya, Jati uwung, Tangerang • The second research was conducted by Tita Dewi Artini entitled “ The Effect of Prediction Technique on the 10th Grade Students’reading Comprehension of Madrasah Aliyah Sepatan in Academic Year 20013/2014 • The last research was conducted by Eny Sulistyawati entitled “The Effect of Using Team Word Webbing on Reading Comprehension in News Item Text of the 10th Grade Students of SMA N 1 Cikande
Teaching Language in this research will be used Eclectic approach. Therefore, this eclectic approach will gives the students plenty of knowledge and deeper of understanding.

Post-test
There is no significant difference of students’ reading comprehension between control class and experiment class. There is any significant difference of students’ reading comprehension between control class and experiment class.
CHAPTER III
Place and time of the research The research will be conducted at SMK Negeri 5 on Jalan Tripraja No.1, Panunggangan Utara, Pinang, Kota Tangerang. The research will be conducted for one month
Research method: This research employes Quantitative method and QuasiExperimental research design in order to examine the effect of eclectic approach on the Eleventh Grade Student’s Reading Comprehension at SMK Negeri 5 Tangerang by using Non-Equivalent control group design.
Experiment class XI. AP 1 40 students
The total population is 392 students from12 classes on the11t h grades at SMK Negeri 5.
Control class XI. AP 2 40 students
Isaac and Michael (1981) & Smith, MF (1983)’s table for recomme nded sample size (Riadi, 2014, p. 21).
TEST: Pre-test will be given before conductin g the treatment. The aimed of pre-test is to know the initial ability of students in reading comprehe nsion.
TEST: Post-test Post-test will be given after conducting the treatment. The purpose is to measure the students improveme nt in reading comprehen sion.
Observation According to Walliman (2011), “Observation is a basic data collecting activity for many branches of research, particularly the natural and technical sciences” (p.101).
Observation Walliman (2011) sugests “Interviews are more suitable for questions that require probing to obtain adequate information” (p.99).
Observation According to Frankel & McHale (2002) they said, “Documentation is the process by which credit is given to sources used in writing the paper (p.29).
According to Notion (2009), “Validity is helped by using reliable measures, and by being clear about what is being measured and why”(p. 75). Accordinng to Notion (2009), “Reliability is helped by having a high number of points of measurement, by using a test format that the learners are familiar with, and by using consistent delivery and marking procedures” (p. 75).
Eclectic approach is an approach that using various approaches in teaching and learning process. The principles of eclectic approach is quiet unique and different from single approach. This prinsiple is expected to assist students with learning dissability and would motivate students in learning English. The teacher needs to be creative and inovative so students will be interested and focus to the lesson then teaching learning process will be effective and successfull.
