JEHOVAH MEKADDISHKEM - THE LORD WHO SANCTIFIES (senktifies) or who MAKES YOU HOLY. -To be holy means to be set apart or separate from sin and evil. -God is holy—completely separate from everything that is evil (1 John 1:5). -- EXODUS 31:12-13 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. -- 1 PETER 1:15-16 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” -- 1 THESSALONIANS 5:23-24 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
-God supplies the power through our faith in Christ to stop us from sinning. How to be holy? - sabi ng iba na it is impossible to live without sinning in holiness and righteousness because they have never seen anyone do it. - First of all, not too many people today live without sin because they do not have the faith to believe God that He can keep them from sin -Without faith, no one can stop sinning, but to him who has faith and believes, all things are possible (Mark 9:23). -We must believe God's Word, NOT what we see around us. -We live by faith, not by sight" (I Cor. 5:7). -Without faith, holiness is impossible. "...everything that does not come from faith is sin" (Rom. 14:23). -We need to believe God and LIVE BY FAITH!
- But what does God's Word say? "I can do ALL THINGS through Christ which strengthened me" (Phil. 4:13). -Only through Christ can one find the ability to please God and live holy. - There, we are to continue to live our lives holy and pleasing to God. (1Peter 1:13-25)
